April's 20 Year Class Reunion...

Well, believe it or not, it's been 20 years since I graduated from high school. I'm not sure how the years went by that quickly, but apparently they have! We drove home to Beebe, Arkansas (Floyd, AR technically) for my 20 year reunion last week and it was so much fun to see all of my old classmates. It's funny to me how much things affect us and shape us from when we're in school - much of which we should probably have never wasted a minutes time worrying about - but we did - that's what teenagers do! Seeing everyone made me realize that no matter who's who in high school, it all changes as you age and just doesn't seem to matter anymore. I hope I'm able to teach my kids that - but I'm sure they'll get to spend just as much time dwelling on their dilemmas as I did when I was a teenager. Fortunately, I have a few years before we have to worry about that! I was surprised at how much we all looked the same - and just as surprised at a few who looked really different - but regardless, it was a lot of fun and I'm so glad I took the time off of work to get there. It was well worth the trip.

Clayton and Cole were so happy to get to spend time with Aunt Sherry, Uncle Philip, Amanda, Nanny, and PaPaw. I often regret that we don't live close enough for them to see them more frequently. Weekly Sunday dinners together like we had when I was a kid would be nice, but I guess it's just not in the cards. Clayton had his "Arkansas" birthday party (he's turning 5 next month) while we there. I think he had at least 20 packages to open and got $$$ from Nanny and PaPaw and Amanda- which we are now arguing about him keeping in his "dollar holder", as he calls it, or me putting it in his savings account so it doesn't end up lost! I think I know who'll win that argument.

Well, enough time spent reminiscing for the week - I've got to get back to work and get busy! I have a client to get implemented and this isn't getting it done!
